Church of Effingham moving to The Rosebud Theatre for weekend services
Starting Sunday, May 4,
Christ’s Church of Effingham is moving their Sunday services from 2511
Veterans Drive to The Rosebud Theatre. Services begin at 10 a.m., but
come early to enjoy coffee and donuts. There will be a nursery and fun
activities for children from birth through fourth grade. Anyone in the
community is invited to join in the celebration.
According to Jeff
Michael, Preaching Minister at Christ’s Church, the move is being made
due to Christ’s Church’s current space limitations. The church
currently conducts three Sunday services at their building, all of which
are close to being filled. “We are still 10 to 12 months away from
completing the construction of our new auditorium and we aren’t content
to maintain the status quo until it is completed,” he said. “We want
people to feel as comfortable as possible worshipping and our current
building’s limitations doesn’t allow that freedom. The Rosebud provides
us with a wonderful opportunity to join all together in worship.”
